Gulielmantheia

An entire life in words.

Back

This is the most intimate page in TombOfTurin, because it is entirely about myself-- exclusively. I will write about my life, and my experiences. For too long, I have had far too much stored inside. I am now at an age where I believe I can finally reflect on my adventures and self-discuss, without unwanted emotion. Quite possibly as distance, in the form of years has been made-- or perhaps because I am not who I was. Regardless, I will admit I am very hopeful for this project-- as well as excited. Please feel free to read at your own leisure-- I insist you aren't intruding.

An Introduction

I am quite glad you have decided to join me. I hope you are well. 'Gulielmantheia' is quite a mouthful, isn't it? Pronounced 'Goo-lee-el-man-thee-uh', the word is a neologism of my own creation. Originating in etymology from the Latin men's name 'Gulielmus', which is equivalent to the German 'Wilhelm', or its French 'Guillaume', or even English, 'William', and the Greek 'Anthos', meaning 'flower, blossom', or contextually, 'anthology', and finally, the Greek 'Theia', meaning 'divine'. This is my own attempt at giving a heroic title akin to 'The Odyssey' to my own adventures. I do however believe you are likely to agree that it is quite the befitting title as I detail some of my stories. Now you know my name, and we are no longer strangers. I am in my early-ish twenties, and live predominantly in the South-West of England, where I study Physics. I was born here in England and I have travelled and lived all across the country. This is as much personal information as I will give you, other than of course, the stories themselves. The rest is up to your imagination. Let's begin.
